The Washingtons Story Theatre School Tour
January 4-April 30, 2010
Education for the Arts is delighted to sponsor the annual school tour of story theatre performances by Dr. Von and Fran Washington. The program is available to public and private K-8 schools in the Kalamazoo RESA service area.
Don’t miss this opportunity to bring acclaimed story theatre to your school. The Washingtons are master storytellers who have been involved in the world theatre scene for more than twenty years. They have performed their original stories for more than 120,000 people in Europe and throughout the United States. Their goal is to bring African American history and everyday situations to life through their fun, educational and inspirational shows. The productions deal with topics such as diversity, overcoming adversity, character development and more.
